On Friday November 26, the
students at Tunaskolan started after midnight and participated in the
activities unite the nations, community chat and many video
conferences.
Honoured guests were
UNESCO-ASP Coordinators Serafin A. Arviola JR., Philippine Normal
University, Manila, and Bengt Landfeldt, the Swedish National Agency for School Improvement,
Uppsala.
In the video conference
with UNESCO, Paris, the students met Elisabeth Khawajkie and her very
nice and committed colleague. The dialogue of mutual interest was about
slavery, present and future projects of UNESCO i.e. education for
sustainable development under the upcoming decade (DESD). Experiences
were shared, the Swedish students presented their opinions about human
rights and how they have carried out Time Project 2004.
